Neri Hotel is a 4-star hotel that’s been established over what once used to be a 17th-century grand mansion. Even though it’s not the most well-equipped hotel and doesn’t feature either a gym or a pool, it more than makes up for that by going overboard on the sheer splendor and grand aesthetic. Furthermore, it also boasts one of the best locations in all of Barcelona. It’s located on a quiet little side street that’s just across from one of the popular cathedrals in the city. The neighborhood is also full of great locations to eat out and enjoy. However, because it’s located down a narrow alley, you’ll have to get off your cab and carry your luggage to the hotel by hand. The hotel has adopted a modern and contemporary outlook, however, it never tramples over the classical heritage of the original mansion. The color palette of the hotel is generally bold and it features velvet furniture, large artworks, and chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. The hotel is certainly lacking in terms of a pool, or a fitness center. However, it does feature an on-site restaurant, a bar, and a spa as well. The basic rooms in the hotel feature wooden flooring, murals painted on walls, and quartzite bathrooms. The rooms are also equipped with kettles and tea bags. If you’d like a view, you can take one of the back rooms as the windows there look out at a Gothic plaça. However, that spot is frequented by school kids, and as such, it can get annoying during certain times in the day. The hotel restaurant is popular for serving Meditteranean dishes. The bar is located next to a terrace where you can enjoy a drink while staring out at the city. At night, tables are set out on the terrace so you can enjoy a romantic candlelit dinner as well.
